Next TDOV Event:

4th April, 2020

12 - 3 pm

Palm Springs, California

Location: Frances Stevens Park

International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) was founded in 2009 by Michigan Activist, Rachel Crandall, as a reaction to the lack of LGBT recognition of Transgender People, who were only recognized by the November somber event, Transgender Day of Remembrance. Since its formation, it is always observed on March 31st.

The first TDOV observance in the Coachella Valley was hosted in 2015 by Trans Community Project, in collaboration with George Zander/Equality California, Human Rights Campaign & The LGBT Community Center of The Desert.  Since then, more local organizations such as Eisenhower Health, Desert AIDS Project, and many others have collaborated with us to continue bringing this event to our community, and each year the event gets bigger and bigger, becoming a tradition of observance in the LGBT Community in the Coachella Valley.
